FAMILY SESSION | Redwood Grove
Friday, April 29th, 2011ENGAGED | Pacifica
Thursday, April 21st, 2011After a day of clouds coverage, I headed north to meet Joe and Elyse for their engagement session. If fog was in Santa Cruz, then surely we were not going to get sunshine up the coast. I was wrong. I pulled out of the cloud coverage on the way up highway one into some glorious sunshine. I was so happy. I met them up at a local beach. We started on the bluffs and then headed down to the extremely dangerous beach front. These waves eat you alive. Everyman is for himself when a wave comes in. At one point we had five people all scrambling for one rock outcropping that was the only higher ground.
I’m really looking forward to their wedding come September. They picked a very popular date- 9-10-11. I get to work along side the brilliant Katie Hund from Wylie Weddings at the lovely Pacific Oaks Winery in Aptos. As if planning a wedding isn’t enough, they just adopted a sweet little puppy! Congrats you guys on your new little family.
FAMILY SESSION | The Adams Family
Tuesday, April 12th, 2011Ah, this sweet family just welcomed their fourth little bundle of love into their house a couple months ago.
Erin was so into the session, she scouted out the location ahead of time, coordinated outfit, brought some chairs, quilts, and a wagon along for the shoot in addition to her four children and all that goes with that. Champion.
Behind the scenes…
Take one across the top is when they first sat down. Bored silly. Wondering why I asked them to sit in a chair when there is this whole new world to explore. Including rabbits!
Take two is when I pull out the tickle bug or start playing ‘simon says’ with them. So cute. Total giggle bugs.
Here is another I got while getting my settings. Mama nursing, dad standing around, kids wandering around, and Tina working hard to move things around for me. THANK TINA!
I usually don’t post such unscripted scenes, but this pretty much sums up the randomness of what goes on at a shoot. It’s a little glimpse into Erin’s world too. You can read more on her blessed life on her blog, Everyday Carnival.
NEWBORN SESSION | Baby Grace
Sunday, April 10th, 2011Down a quiet shady street lives Lauren and her sweet family. Her precious little Luke got to hold his new baby sister for the first time the day I was there. So special. Meet baby Grace and her older brother Luke.
My talent friend, Tina came along to help out and took this beautiful shot of the baby with all her soft skin and extra wrinkles fast asleep. She shot from the other side of me, into the light and I love the way the light falls across the baby. Beautiful one TINA!
