ENGAGED | Brian + Lisa

Friday, July 1st, 2011

Lisa and Brian took me to where he proposed to her, a beach near Ano Nuevo called Stumpy’s.  I always love asking couples about how they met and how they got engaged.  They are both there chiming in on who thought what, who said what and the two sides to every story always comes out.  These two are so easy to hang with-  I’m totally looking forward to their wedding!  They have an AMAZING 16 inches difference (it could be 18, I forget), so we tried a few tricks to close the gap.  We had Lisa on hay bales, jumping into his arms, seated, perched on the up hill of the sand doons to name a few.  Before on the sand doons, we stopped off at Pie Ranch cuz I saw the fog ahead and wanted a little sunshine for their session.  After the goats and hay bales… we headed north.  Ano had stunning landscape all around us with some fog creeping in overhead and the moon on the rise.  They braved the cold, wet, and wind and hopefully had a little fun along the way. Here are a few from their session…

Love this one.

MARRIED | Bi-Coastal Wedding Part I

Friday, May 27th, 2011

The day finally arrived.  Brian and Jenai’s wedding day.  One of two to be had.  They kicked it off with the one in California first.  The funny thing is that these two are both from Pennsylvania but didn’t meet until they both moved out to California.  Oh, God is is so funny that way.  I really do think God has a wicked sense of humor.  I mean with skilled timing like his, who doesn’t have the best pun in the end? Her mom said she prayed that Jenai would meet  a man from Pennsylvania, so when her daughter called to tell her about this guy from Pennsylvania, she just knew he was “the one.”    Jenai got ready in the same home that was host for the weekly home group.  One that I was privileged to be part of with them both. So it was only appropriate that Sam, who lives there, design a custom piece of art work for the special day.

This was the best first sighting because the flower girl was screaming… I mean SCREAMING her head off, but Brian couldn’t hear a thing.  He was completely and fully in the moment of watching his bride walk down the aisle.

After the beachfront ceremony, Brian and Jenai got their dancing shoes on for the barn dance they organized up at Pie Ranch.  This sweet venue has a monthly event.  It’s a heap of fun for all ages, so take the family and check it out!

The barn dance was the most fun I’ve seen all ages have at a wedding ever.  While the announcer in red was great at breaking down all the steps, there was definetely your far share of these moments!

And more of these moments?!

Yeee- Haww!
